HUGH DORSEY
MANAGING DIRECTOR
After a decade as a senior Director of Client Development at Ropes & Gray and six years leading corporate BD at Fried Frank, I founded Catalyst IV to address a major untapped opportunity: providing direct business development support to partners and client teams focused on specific opportunities and client relationships.
At Ropes & Gray, my role combined client team leadership with industry platform building. I worked directly with partners and clients on relationship development and the expansion of services, as well as launching and leading the firm's Financial Services Industry Group. Before that, at Fried Frank, Shearman & Sterling and Morrison Foerster, I covered the full spectrum of strategic business development, including practice development, competitive intelligence, client development, lateral integration, and new business pursuits.
Over twenty years across these firms provides perspective on what works across different firm cultures, practice mixes, and market conditions. Catalyst IV is built to leverage that experience directly to individual partners and client teams.
